Making stock

The wind was piling the snow into deep drifts across the driveway. The perfect day to stay home and make beef stock. From the roasting of the beef shanks and vegetables to the all day simmering (with bouquet garni), the results was well worth the effort. We dined like peasants on Beef and Barley Soup.

Sounds oh so tasty......but where is the RECIPE? Even those of us with the "chilly" temp of 60+ could use a good pot of savory soup.
