Do it yourself!

Two days ago my to-do list had this entry - try making "homemade" laundry detergent.

As of yesterday, my to-do list looks like this - try making "homemade" laundry detergent.

Yes, friends, you can make your own laundry detergent... and for just pennies a load!

Someone asked me if it smelled good, and I described it as scent free. But, the more I use, and the more I sniff, I have to change that evaluation. Instead, I would say it's a fresh-off-the-clothesline fragrance. Love it.

You may wonder - as did my wonderful husband - why would you make your own laundry detergent? Well... because I can!

If you want feel independent (and save some $$) give it a try. I found my "recipe" here.

Next? Making my own dishwasher detergent!

Create in me a clean heart O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Psalm 51:10

Hey Barb, did you ever try the dishwasher soap? Was it a hit?

Yes Laurie, I did try the dishwasher detergent. Total flop. Never again. However, white vinegar as a rinse agent is the best!
