Tomorrow is delivery day... and haircut-day all wrapped into one! Yay!
I have four complete postcards - right down to the labels on the back. Pressure is replaced with anticipation. My four little messengers are ready to do their thing.
Postcard #3 - (forgive the lighting. It's so late - no natural light anywhere!)
Postcard #4 -
This vintage button is one of my favorites.
My tongue shall speak of thy word: for all thy commandments are righteousness. Psalm 119:172

Postcard project
The sportsmen's banquet is history... next on the list is postcards. That deadline is Saturday.
So far, I have two finished postcards and one overflowing wastebasket.
The image in this transfer was captured one year ago. The verse became precious three years ago. It seems fitting that I should be so involved with this right now.
I love the little flower in the corner.
Postcard #2 is the back cover of an old, old 4"x6" book. The truth of this verse is beautiful... it just grabs your heart and won't let go. I'm pretty happy with the way this turned out.
Tomorrow, I hope to complete the current WIP. I'm not sure that I can actually finish five... it's expecting a lot from one small brain.
Therefore I will look unto the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me. Micah 7:7

Sportsmen's Banquet
Our church is hosting a Sportsmen's Banquet on Saturday night for 204 ... 225 ... 240 people. The church kitchen has been a beehive of activity all week as our resident wild game chef and her crew perform culinary magic with everything from elk to quail. (Would have been fun to say antelope to zebra but we don't have either of those.)
Decorating the tables has kept me out of the kitchen. Today the final bait cans will go next to the fishing poles and the job will be complete.
I love that word - complete. Rolls off the tongue in such a comforting way.
For in Him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in Him, which is the head of all principality and power. Colossians 2:9,10

Spring!
Today I join the winter-weary who welcome spring with wonderful photos of flowers. (How many "w" words can you work into a sentence?)
I saw this one first and had to take a picture.
While crouching ground-level with my camera, I saw this cluster...
and almost stepped on this!
When I thought I had absorbed all the beauty there was, I saw the promise for more tomorrow.
The Lord by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established the heavens. By his knowledge the depths are broken up, and the clouds drop down the dew. Proverbs 3:19,20

Surprise!
Occasionally, when playing with papers and paints, a happy surprise appears.
After painting, crinkling, glazing, punching, and trimming, things were looking pretty useless. So, I put a glob of gel medium on the paper that covers my table and pushed the painted-crinkled-glazed-punched-trimmed petal shapes into it... walked away and forgot about it.
Hours pass... glue dries... and perspectives change.
It's an idea that needs some technical work, but it's cute... and happy.
That's encouraging.
But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of my head. Psalm 3:3

Do it yourself!
Two days ago my to-do list had this entry - try making "homemade" laundry detergent.
As of yesterday, my to-do list looks like this -try making "homemade" laundry detergent.
Yes, friends, you can make your own laundry detergent... and for just pennies a load!
Someone asked me if it smelled good, and I described it as scent free. But, the more I use, and the more I sniff, I have to change that evaluation. Instead, I would say it's a fresh-off-the-clothesline fragrance. Love it.
You may wonder - as did my wonderful husband - why would you make your own laundry detergent? Well... because I can!
If you want feel independent (and save some $$) give it a try. I found my "recipe" here.
Next? Making my own dishwasher detergent!
Create in me a clean heart O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Psalm 51:10
