Growing green

There is no greater backyard joy than to discover the mi∙nute' seeds planted one week earlier have sprouted and are now marching like little soldiers through the garden soil.

Ok... so my little turnips don't exactly understand drill and ceremony, but they live! I am so happy to see their crooked formation weaving along the garden row.

And for the first time - half the fun is trying new things, right? - I planted a small patch of onions.

There is no green like that of a spring onion. Though I don't understand the profit in onion gardening - plant one, get one - I am eager to see how a home grown onion differs from its grocery store brothers.

I do not have a green thumb. Any plant that survives in my yard is a miracle to behold. And there is no more appreciative, and thankful, audience than this wannabe gardener.

Grow little veggies! Grow!

But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. II Peter 3:18
